Aquatics - Winter  2012

Join us for aquatics fun!  Group, Private and Semi-Private swimming lessons are offered at the USA Water Polo National Aquatic Center located on the Joint Forces Training Base.  Classes are offered for all ages and abilities.   All swimming lesson instructors are certified by the American Red Cross and our instructor to child ratios are kept low to provide the highest quality classes.  Join us and learn how to swim or improve upon your skills!  For more information on swimming lessons and lesson registration, click here Adult Lap Swimming is also available Monday – Friday at various times.  For more information on lap swimming, click here.

Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instructor, Junior Lifeguarding Conditioning classes and Water Aerobics are also offered (some periodically)

SPRING DAY CAMP

April 9 - 13, 2012

Registration begins February 20th

Ages 5-15:  Daily:  9am to 4pm and Extended Care:  7:00am (new time) to 6pm.  Register for one or more days and weekly.  Campers need to bring a sack lunch everyday.   Beverages and snacks provided.  Activities include art & crafts, games, outdoor activities, movies and much more!  Limited Registration so register early!

Holiday Bazaar 2011

Over 70 crafters will be selling beautiful and unique holiday decorations and gifts.  This event will be held in the Community Center, 10911 Oak St. on Saturday, November 5, 2011.  Vendors interested in participating at the Holiday Bazaar should contact the Recreation & Community Services Department at (562) 430-1073 for additional information.  This event is hosted by the Los Alamitos Senior Citizens' Club.

SENIOR LUNCH AND BREAD PROGRAM

The Senior Lunch & Bread Program is offered Monday to Friday to persons 60 years and above and their spouses of any age.  Activities include billiards, bingo, card games, movies, support services and transportation.  Donations are accepted.  Reservations required and must be made at least two days in advance.  Call Site Manager Linda Klein at 562.430.1073, ext. 526 or e-mail at lklein@ci.los-alamitos.ca.us.  Meals are provided by Community SeniorServ and served in the Youth Center 10909 Oak St.
