SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

MONDAY, July 20, 2009 – 4:30 p.m.

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the City Council is hereby called by the Mayor, and will be held on MONDAY, July 20, 2009 at 4:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, 3191 Katella Avenue, Los Alamitos.  The agenda is as follows:

This agenda contains a brief general description of each item to be considered and has been posted by the City Clerk as required by law.  Copies of relevant material for each item are available for review at the City Clerk's office during business hours.  Except as provided by law, no action or discussion shall be taken on any item not appearing herein.  In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance to participate in a public meeting, please contact the office of the City Clerk at (562) 431-3538  ext. 220 (48) hours prior to the meeting so that reasonable arrangements may be made to assure accessibility.

All Consent Calendar items may be acted upon by one motion unless a Council Member requests separate action on a specific item.

Openings have occurred on the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts and Planning Commissions. Availability Notices were posted and copies provided to the press inviting residents to apply for these positions. 

 

Recommendation:

 

1.        Interview the following applicants; and,

6:00  Pete Carvajal                 6:15  Tommy Ferro

2.      Make appointments to the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts, and Planning Commissions; or,

 

3.      Defer appointments to the City Council meeting of Monday, August 3, 2009; or,

 

4.      Action as Council deems appropriate.
